The Arlberg

One of the largest resorts on planet earth famous for both excellent snow conditions combined with variable and interesting terrain the Arlberg is by no means a hidden gem. Powder Panic is real. And yet it is fairly straight forward to find first lines with some knowledge of the terrain. The villages are fairly different, something for pretty much any taste.

Bases

Lech

A little posh. Nice. Up-market. Good base to enter the arena. The village has a nice feel to it, also since it is inhabited around the year. 

Zuers

Above the tree-line, boarded up in summer yet actually quite lively in Winter. Up-market. And a pretty good base to enter Arlberg. If you come with friends, there is a few really nice catered Chalets.

St. Anton

Party place. Krazy Kanguruh and Mooserwirt are among the most famous Apres Ski places in the Alps, there is clubs, and an abundance of bars. Yet, if you are mainly here to ski: Again a good base to start at the Arlberg.

Stuben

Sleepy. Cosy. Small. Fab snow. Back-door entry, with lots of variety. Not a secret spot anymore but if you are not looking for party, this is a great place to start.
